Help/FAQs

A little guidance before you order—and simple ways to care for your hand-painted artwork.

Choose the options offered on your design listing for a standard order. For a different garment, color or custom design, contact the studio before purchasing.

Garments & color requests

Can I request a different garment color?

Yes—colors outside the listed options are considered by individual request. The garment color can affect how airbrush colors appear.

Dark garments require a different painting process and additional layers of paint, which means an increased artwork charge and additional production time. Special-order garments may also involve sourcing costs and additional delivery time.

Please contact us before purchasing so we can confirm availability, pricing, and timing.

Toddler tees and infant items remain White only.

What other garments can I special-order?

You can ask about men’s and women’s V-neck tees, adult and youth long-sleeve tees, women’s racerback tanks, standard tanks, women’s fitted tanks, and three-quarter-sleeve raglan/baseball tees.

V-necks, racerback tanks and raglan/baseball tees are not stocked and require a special order. Some standard and fitted tanks may be available from existing stock, including selected Bella and Next Level styles; please ask what is available.

These are inquiry-only options unless specifically offered on your design listing. Contact us before purchasing so we can confirm the garment, size, color, additional cost and timing.

How do I order a garment that isn’t on the listing?

Please contact us first with the design you want, garment type, size, color, quantity and any event date. We’ll confirm availability, the total price and timing before you purchase. There’s no need to buy a T-shirt and a separate upgrade on your own.

Special-order garments are inquiry-only unless the listing specifically offers them. A size chart describes fit—it does not guarantee that an item is in stock.

Can I send my own item to be painted?

Yes! We welcome requests for your own denim jackets, jeans, leather jackets, a favorite T-shirt style and other suitable items. Send clear photos of the item and its fabric/care label, along with your artwork idea and preferred placement. We’ll discuss the options, preparation, price and timing before you ship it.

For T-shirts and similar washable apparel, we prefer cotton or blends containing at least 50% cotton for best results with our process. Polyester and spandex/stretch garments are reviewed individually: the fabric, finish, amount of stretch and artwork placement affect suitability and expected durability. Nylon jackets are not recommended for our airbrushing service. Dark garments require additional preparation or paint layers, increasing the artwork charge and production time—even when you supply the item.

Please wait for approval and shipping instructions before sending anything.

How should I prepare an item I’m sending?

Items must be clean and completely dry; new items are preferred. For a worn or used washable item that has previously been washed, rewash it according to its care label, then run several additional rinse cycles to remove any detergent residue. Avoid fabric softener and dryer sheets when preparing it.

Soap, softener and other residues can interfere with paint adhesion and reduce durability, even with heat-setting. Let us know about any fabric treatments or coatings.

For leather, dry-clean-only or specialty items, ask us for preparation instructions first—do not use the clothing wash-and-rinse instructions above.

Are all designs suitable for every garment?

Not every design fits every garment in the same way. Placement or sizing may need adjustment around zippers, pockets, narrow tank fronts or smaller garments. Some designs may need to be simplified or reduced in detail for infant and toddler-sized items.

We’ll confirm any necessary design changes and additional charges with you before you order.

Does production time include special ordering?

No. Sourcing a special-order garment adds time before painting begins. We’ll confirm the expected sourcing and production schedule before purchase; delivery to you is additional.

Sizing & caring for your artwork

How do I choose the right size?

Use our Garments and Size Guide for the specific brand and style you are ordering. Compare the measurements with a similar garment you already wear comfortably, laid flat without stretching. Don’t rely on the size label alone: youth, adult, fitted and unisex garments have different proportions.

If you’re unsure which chart applies, ask before ordering.

How should I wash my item, and will it shrink?
  • Follow the artwork-care instructions supplied with your order and the garment’s care label.
  • Wash airbrushed apparel in cold water and hang-dry to help protect the artwork and fit.
  • Avoid bleach and scrubbing the painted area.

Some shrinkage is possible, especially with cotton and tumble drying. Pre-shrunk does not mean shrink-proof. Fabric blends vary by style and color.

For leather or another specialty item, ask us for item-specific care instructions.

Can I use bleach or stain remover?

Do not use bleach on your airbrushed item. Avoid applying stain removers directly to the artwork or scrubbing the painted area. If you’re unsure how to treat a stain, contact us before using a cleaning product.

How long will the artwork last?

The fabric paint is heat-set for lasting wear. Following the care instructions helps preserve the artwork through repeated washing. Wear, laundering and the garment itself all affect its lifespan.

What kind of paint do you use?

We use water-based fabric paint for our airbrushed apparel and heat-set the artwork. Follow the care instructions supplied with your order.

Ordering & custom artwork

What can I personalize on a standard design?

Choose a design and use the personalization and garment options provided on that listing. Enter names exactly as you want them painted and double-check spelling, size and color before checkout.

Changes beyond the listed options—such as extra artwork, a different layout or added detail—need a custom quote before purchase.

Can I have artwork on both sides?

Yes, subject to the design and garment. Additional artwork carries an additional charge unless the listing already includes both sides. Send your front-and-back request before purchasing so we can confirm the layout and total price.

Can you paint from a photo or an idea I send?

Yes—custom artwork and portraits are a specialty. For a useful quote, please send:

  • A clear reference photo or description of your idea.
  • The garment or item, size, color and quantity.
  • Artwork placement, any names or wording, and your event date if applicable.

We’ll review suitability and quote based on the artwork’s detail, placement and painting time. Please wait for confirmation before purchasing a design that does not cover your request.

Can I order matching items for a group?

Quantity orders are welcome. Send the design, number of items, size breakdown, names and event date so we can confirm the details, availability, price and schedule.

How long will my order take?

Standard listed designs on stocked garments generally require 2–4 business days for production once payment and all required order details are received. Shipping transit time is additional.

Special-order garments, detailed custom artwork and larger orders need their own schedule. If you have an event date, contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether the timing is possible.

What if I missed a name or another required order detail?

Contact our studio with your order number and the missing information. We need complete, confirmed details before painting begins; delays in receiving your reply can delay production. Please check the email address used at checkout for questions from us.

Can I change or cancel an order after purchasing?

Contact our studio as soon as possible with your order number and the requested change. We’ll check the order’s progress before confirming what is possible. Changes or cancellations are not guaranteed once custom work has begun or a special-order garment has been ordered for you.

Can you have my order ready for a specific event?

Please ask before purchasing and tell us the date you need the item in hand—not just the event date. We’ll review the artwork, quantity, garment availability and shipping time before confirming whether we can accommodate it. Adding a date to your order does not by itself confirm that deadline.

Returns & getting help

Personalized items are made for you and cannot be returned simply because you change your mind. If something arrives damaged, defective or different from your order, please contact our studio so we can help.

Can I return a personalized or custom-made item?
  • We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges on personalized or custom-made items.

We may need additional information or a return inspection before confirming a repair, replacement or refund. Damage caused after delivery by wear, accidents or improper care is not covered.

Can I return a non-personalized item?
  • Contact our studio within seven calendar days of delivery to request a return or exchange.
  • The item must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered and suitable for resale.
  • Wait for approval and return instructions before sending it back. Include your order number.
